[Ojs] Update - progress re OJS as on 10 August 2011

Journals now accessible via SUNJournals (OJS)

Issues from the following journals have been published on our OJS so far:

Please go have a look and learn from how the others did it. Also contribute any suggestions you might have. Hopefully we can get all up and running by the end of August? Please let us know if you need any assistance.

Doi's
We have submitted a first batch of doi's to CrossRef, and it works perfectly. E.g. to resolve the following doi: 10.5787/34-1-14 Go to http://dx.doi.org/ and paste the doi no. It will resolve to the exact article on our OJS, which is: THE INTERNMENT OF JAPANESE AMERICANS DURING WORLD WAR II: A CASE STUDY OF NATIONAL TRAUMA AND INSTITUTIONAL VIOLENCE/ Ridwan Laher, Arthur G. Neal published in Scientia Militaria.
I will be in contact with the Journal Managers of the above completed issues to have their doi's submitted.
Once all doi's for all journals have been submitted, I will go ahead and register the journals with harvesters and directories, and will keep you posted.
Back-up's
All journals are now backed-up on a daily basis, and Hilton has set up the system so that SUNJournals receives reports on a daily basis.

The above is now available for the whole world to access. Please refer to the above page for help etc. Also freely contribute to the wiki.
Previous copies of journal articles
To guarantee that people will always reference the correct article on SUNJournals, and use the doi, please remove all other copies of articles on the web once you have submitted the articles to SUNJournals. If you register your journal with harvesters or directories, also ask them to harvest from the journal address assigned to your journal only, or request the harvester/directory to re-harvest all and update their databases e.g. Sabinet. This way the correct and proper version of articles and journals will be ranked and measured.
