[Irtalk] LIASA Interest Group for Open Access and Collection Development

Dear Colleagues

The LIASA Acquisitions Interest Group (LACIG)<http://www.liasa.org.za/node/130> is considering changing its focus. One option might be to change it to an Interest Group for Open Access and Collection Development, instead of creating a new interest group from scratch. I would very much value your opinion on this, especially since there is no national body which encourages collaboration and sharing on national level in terms of open access.

If we decide to go ahead with this, we will require individuals to fulfil the following roles:

Chair
Chair-elect
Secretary
Treasurer
PRO/Additional member

Therefore - please - we would very much like to get an indication from you on whether you would be interested in serving on such an interest group, and whether it would be possible for you to support this interest group through participating in activities and attending LIASA conferences.
