Vir studente wat verkies om hul tesisse/proefskrifte in LaTeX te doen:
LaTeX vir die Akademie werkswinkel 8 Sept.

Die Departement Inligtingwetenskap bied binnekort 'n gratis LaTeX<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LaTeX> werkswinkel aan vir studente en personeel van Stellenbosch Universiteit. Die doel is om deelnemers vertroud te maak met LaTeX as gereedskap vir akademiese lettersetwerk.

Die werkswinkel sal deelnemers help om hul eerste dokument te produseer waarna daar gefokus word op meer gevorderde fomattering, insluitende die gebruik van amptelike Universiteit Stellenbosch tesis- en projektemplate. 'n Sessie sal ook afgestaan word aan verwysings in LaTeX.

Geen voorafkennis van  LaTeX word vereis nie. Die werkswinkel sal in die vorm van 'n inleidende lesing en praktiese demonstrasie wees.

Let asb daarop dat hierdie werkswinkel slegs in Engels aangebied word.

For students who prefer to do their theses/dissertations in LaTeX:
LaTeX for Academic Writing workshop 8 Sept.

The Department of Information Science is having a free LaTeX<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LaTeX> workshop for students and staff of Stellenbosch University. The aim is to get participants acquainted with LaTeX as a tool for typesetting academic writing.

The workshop will cover the basics of typesetting your first document and proceed to more advanced formatting, including the use of official Stellenbosch University thesis and project templates. A session will also be devoted to referencing in LaTeX.

No previous knowledge of LaTeX is required. The workshop will be in the form of an introductory lecture and practical demonstration.
