Tesisse/Proefskrifte Desember 2011
Soos voorheen genoem is die stelsel oop, en kan almal voortgaan om studente te nomineer om hul tesisse/proefskrifte op te laai met die oog op die Des. 2011 gradeplegtigheid. Indien die embargo vir langer as twee jaar geld, moet u asb. via u Fakulteitsekretaris werk om toestemming by die Senaat te verkry.

Gaan kyk gerus wat is reeds beskikbaar onder u dept. se naam by http://scholar.sun.ac.za. Riglyne vir die oplaai van tesisse/proefskrifte is beskikbaar by: http://library.sun.ac.za/etd/afr/index.htm

Kontak ons ook enige tyd as ons met enigiets behulpsaam kan wees om die proses vir u nog makliker te maak.

Navorsingsartikels
Ons wil graag alle SU navorsingsartikels sentraal op SUNScholar bewaar. Help asb. deur dit elektronies te stuur aan Paulette Talliard by plt at sun.ac.za<mailto:plt at sun.ac.za> Ons verkies die "post-print" - m.a.w. net voor die artikel deur die uitgewer gepubliseer word. Baie dankie by voorbaat!

Om 'n tesis/proefskrif na pdf te verander kan sagteware soos CutePDF of Adobe Acrobat gebruik word. CutePDF is gratis beskikbaar vir aflaai vanaf die "Freedom Toaster" binne die Leersentrum in die Biblioteek.

Merk solank hierdie dag in u dagboek af, want ons beplan om internasionale sowel as plaaslike eksperts te betrek by hierdie groot geleentheid om sodoende al u vrae oor oop toegang, impakfaktore, kopiereg, 'peer-review', en nog baie meer te beantwoord. Ons beplan ook om oop toegang wetenskaplike tydskrifte wat deur SU gehuisves word bekend te stel! Meer inligting by http://oa.sun.ac.za

Theses/Dissertations December 2011
The system is now open as mentioned before, and you are welcome to continue nominating your students to submit their theses/dissertations for the December 2011 graduation ceremony. To restrict access for a period longer than two years, please apply for consent from Senate via the Faculty Secretary.

This is an important date in our calendar, and this year we plan to have two international and two local experts to address all your concerns re open access, copyright, impact factors, peer-review, and many more. We also plan to launch open access scholarly journals to be hosted by SU! More information available at http://oa.sun.ac.za
