Stellenbosch Universiteit is nou die trotse eienaar van die journals.ac.za domeinnaam ('n baie gesogte domeinnaam, waarop ons baie trots is!). Volgende stap is nou die installering van die sagteware deur Hilton (hy is tot Vrydag met verlof). Die tydskrifte sal dus - as alles volgens plan verloop - volgende week geskep word (of dalk vroe?r), en dan kan julle aangaan met die skep van uitgawes en die oplaai van artikels. Die adresse sal soos volg lyk:

Bekendstelling van SUNJournals tydens Oop Toegangsweek 24-30 Oktober 2011
Ons sou graag SUNJournals en die 7 tydskrifte gedurende Oop Toegangsweek wil bekendstel. Ons sal graag wil h? dat almal deel moet h? aan hierdie groot gebeurtenis. As julle enige idees het, is julle meer as welkom om vir my te laat weet.

Verlede jaar het ons Mark Shuttleworth gehad wat SUN gelukgewens het met hul inisiatiewe t.o.v. oop toegang, ons het die geleentheid lewendig via die Internet uitgesaai en mense kon dit w?reldwyd volg (wat hulle ook gedoen het), die Berlynse Deklarasie tot Oop Toegang is deur prof. Bothma onderteken, en SUNScholar is bekendgestel.

Dus - as julle dalk oulike idees het, ook na.v. ander geleenthede wat julle bygewoon het, laat weet gerus.

eISSN
Soos wat elke gedrukte tydskrif 'n unieke ISSN het, so moet elke e-tydskrif ook 'n eISSN<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EISSN> h?. Lexikos het reeds 'n eISSN aangevra. Indien daar nog is wat 'n eISSN benodig, is julle welkom om my te laat weet.

Per Linguam op Libopedia
Hannes van Wyk het reeds African Zoology op Wikipedia<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/African_Zoology>, en Nanda Klapwijk het onlangs ook 'n inskrywing gemaak op ons eie wiki, Libopedia. Gaan kyk gerus hier<http://wiki.lib.sun.ac.za/index.php/Faculty_of_Education/Journals/Per_Linguam>. Baie geluk albei - dit lyk goed! Spoedig sal julle ook skakels na hul tydskrifadresse (URL's) hier kan byvoeg.
