The Publication Forum<https://julkaisufoorumi.fi/en> (JUFO) has released Version 1.0 of its comprehensive checklist. This resource is designed to help both expert panels and researchers assess the reliability and rigour of scholarly journals.
In an environment where identifying trustworthy outlets is increasingly complex, this checklist serves as a practical tool to:

  * Assess editorial and peer review practices
  * Spot problematic invitations, reviews, or publication patterns
  * Guide researchers to trustworthy journals

We are pleased to host this community resource within our Resources & Guidelines section to support the Diamond Open Access community.

How do you currently assess the reliability of new or unfamiliar journals? If you have already used the JUFO criteria or similar frameworks, feel free to share your feedback or any tips you have for fellow community members below.
