Morning All,
Please feel free to contact me should you wish to integrate with ORCID via
the public (free) or member API. An integration will ensure that a)
researchers iDs and works can be populated automatically from your
repository and b) your internal systems can track research outputs from
over 700 publishers submitting ORCID iDs to Crossref and Datacite.
Please note that there is an issue with the ORCID integration in DSpace v.5
and we are appealing to the DSpace community to resolve the issue. This
being said, we have other members that have built small applications that
work around this issue.
Finally, there is an invitation for all institutions in South Africa to
join a consortium through TENET. This is provides discounted fees on
premium membership and centralized technical tier 1 support with their
integration.
We look forward to continuing to build the ORCID community in South Africa.
Regards,
Matt
