[IRTalk] More accountability for big-data algorithms

To avoid bias and improve transparency, algorithm designers must make data sources and profiles public.

Open data following in the footsteps of open access, open repositories, open journals and more. What are different role players at institutions doing (librarians, researchers and more), to manage and disseminate data in a trusted and responsible way?

Would be great if librarians can define their role and position themselves, working with the researchers and remainder of the institution. Are you doing so yet?
