About the webinar

Open Access benefits all - from children, learners, teachers, to students, researchers, lecturers, and the public in general. During this webinar you will be introduced to the basics of Open Access: What is Open Access, and how does it impact on me and my users?

This webinar is presented in preparation of Open Access Week, to be celebrated worldwide from 19-25 October 2015. Theme: "Open for Collaboration".

Target audience: Public Librarians, School Librarians, Special Librarians, and all other librarians interested.

Registration

LIASA members please register by 10 June - click here<http://www.liasa-new.org.za/conference/index.php/oa/oasl/schedConf/registration> and follow the online registration wizard to complete the online form. Please use the Username and Password created the first time you have logged in to LIASA Events<http://www.liasa-new.org.za/event-management/>. If never, please follow the instructions below.

IMPORTANT:
1.    If this is the first time you will be working on the LIASA Events<http://www.liasa-new.org.za/event-management/> system, you will be prompted to create a personal profile (only created once - you will never be required to create one again as long as your profile is not deleted).
2.    You will be prompted to enter a CAPTCHA code<http://www.captcha.net/> (for security purposes). Please type the exact characters displayed. The system will display an error message at the top if entered incorrectly, after which you will be given more tries until correct. Thanks for your patience.
3.    Once a profile has been created, all future registrations will be very simple. Please remember your username and password for future events presented via LIASA Events. All future events will be organised through this system, which is important for proper governance. Thank you.
