The last ten years have shown, that Open Access is not only a vision, but
has become real. Libraries are in a good position to push Open Access even
further, as they currently fully pay the production costs of the
traditional subscription model. *SCOAP3 demonstrates that coordination
among libraries is not unlikely and could lead to more Open Access
immediately.*
