The last ten years have shown, that Open Access is not only a vision, but
has become real. *Libraries are in a good position to push Open Access even
further*, as they currently fully pay the production costs of the
traditional subscription model. SCOAP3 demonstrates that coordination among
libraries is not unlikely and could lead to more Open Access immediately.
