Open Access Policy Template

Is your department or school ready to approve an open access policy? Join the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory and the Columbia University Libraries/Information Services by using the template available for download below. It has language that can apply to any unit of Columbia.

The heart of the policy is the following paragraph:

Each officer and other professional staff member within the [YOUR DEPARTMENT OR SCHOOL HERE] of Columbia University hereby commits to make his or her scholarly journal articles accessible to the public through a digital repository based at Columbia University or through an appropriate alternative open access repository.
