[Wcm] Feedback and update: new Library Website

Dear Colleagues

Just a communication on the new Library website.

2.       Outstanding technical issues<http://wiki.bib.sun.ac.za/images/Website_progress_-_technical_issues_version_2.pdf> (compiled by Wouter)

3.       Preliminary marketing plan<http://wiki.bib.sun.ac.za/images/Marketing_Plan_for_the_new_Library_Website.pdf> - dates depend on feedback by Management

4.       Language editing - Management to decide on the way forward

5.       Photos - communication to follow

The above was presented to Library Management during the SMT Meeting this morning. It was agreed that the new website be launched on the 31st of January, after Management has given some feedback, it has been thoroughly tested, etc. Utilising the services of a Marketing Company was also mentioned. Management will communicate once they have done the reviewing, and are prepared to sign off.

Many thanks to IT who was kind enough to 'donate' 11 hours' work to be done by bSOLVe. Hopefully bSOLVe, Wouter and IT will be able to address the level 1 and 2 items during December. See Outstanding technical issues<http://wiki.bib.sun.ac.za/images/Website_progress_-_technical_issues_version_2.pdf> . They have already started working on many of the items listed. Nice-to-have items will be addressed by Wouter and IT during February.
