<span style="color: rgb(0, 36, 81);">I had a look to see whether the document addresses whether AI harvesting of open-access journal articles licensed under CC BY breaches the law.<br>
The document supports the interpretation that CC BY manuscripts can generally be harvested and used for AI purposes. However, it does not establish that every AI use is lawful or settle when and how attribution must appear in AI-generated answers. It explicitly
 places questions about infringing AI outputs beyond its scope (page 5).<br>
I think there is still a lot of work to be done on licensing. My concern is that, where CC BY conditions apply, attribution is required, yet AI-generated answers often do not acknowledge the original sources.</span></div>
