<DIV>we are planning on hosting the Wider Gauteng IR Forum meeting on <STRONG>Friday 7 August 2015</STRONG><EM>.<STRONG> </STRONG></EM>The theme will be "Repositories at a cross-road", focusing on problems (hurdles, frustrations and challenges) with regards to the IR environment, DSpace software and lack of training and skills.</DIV>

<DIV>The aim of the meeting is to re-establish working relations between IRs in South Africa, exploring the possibilities of broader/non-institutional specific repositories, inter-institutional IR agreements, sharing of software developments and others. Hilton Gibson (University of Stellenbosch) and Shaun Donovan (Teqcle: Information Technologies, current developer for many broader Gauteng repositories) will present an afternoon session (hopefully also with other role-players in the Open Source Software community).</DIV>
