<p class="MsoNormal">Also mentioned as one of the competencies faculty librarians should have – mentioned by the DCC during the LIASA/DCC workshop: Faculty librarians should know which data set repositories exist, and should the institution not have its own
data set repository, and should it be a funder requirement to store data sets somewhere, be able to advise researchers where to store data sets.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Data set repositories are growing rapidly, and although we are still in the very early stages of data set curation, it is worthwhile to take note of re3data. This directory indexes a vast variety of data set repositories, incl. GenBank
etc.</p>
