<div dir="ltr"><div>Information and communications technologies (ICTs) and open educational resources (OER) have disrupted the facilitation of teaching and learning and the way in which content is developed and disseminated. <b><font color="#ff0000">UNISA responded to this changing context by developing a new business model which was approved in April 2013.</font></b> This business model provides Unisa with a chance to engage with the opportunities that these disruptions present in order to embrace the changing future of higher education, and to continue to add value, be sustainable, and play a leadership role in South African higher education.</div>
