He suggested that Juta could possibly set the ‘ball rolling’ in getting South African publishers to record their copyright policies with regard to Open Access institutional repositories, as they are not available online for libraries and tertiary institutions to access locally or internationally.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>As you may know, most SA universities have institutional repositories and their intent is to be completely copyright compliant when placing material on their repositories. SHERPA/ROMEO website at <a href="http://www.sherpa.ac.uk/romeo/">http://www.sherpa.ac.uk/romeo/</a> provides copyright policies of many overseas publishers, and this site is extremely helpful. SHERPA has agreed to host the policies of South African publishers on their website, if we can coordinate submitting the information to them. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Please could you let me know how Juta can assist in this project so that SA publishers’ policies are listed and sent to SHERPA as soon as possible?
