Apologies for cross posting,

Good Evening and Happy OA week.

I trust you are well.

This serves to invite you to join the global academic community commemorating the International Open Access Week 2025, which runs under the theme “Who Owns Our Knowledge?” To mark this important event, the Botswana Open University through the Department of Library and Information Services (DLIS) has planned a virtual celebratory session scheduled on Thursday, 23 October 2025 from 0900hrs to 1030hrs. This initiative is intended to align with the international community in commemorating the 2025 International Open Access Week, with a special focus on stimulating dialogue around Copyright and Fair Use, Equitable Access and Affordability, as well as Article Processing Charges.. It will bring together experts to share insights on open access issues.

Our presenters are:
Dr Iryna Kuchma, EIFL Open Access Programme Manager
Ms Tuelo Ntlotlang, Botswana Open University Librarian
Mr Khutsafalo Kadimo, University of Botswana, Medical Librarian

Your participation will be highly appreciated. Please do share with your network. The link and the program will be sent shortly.

Thank you
