[IRTalk] Registration now open for "Data intelligence in libraries: the actual and artificial perspectives" - IFLA WLIC2019 pre-conference satellite meeting (22 - 23 August 2019), Frankfurt, Germany

Dear all,

The IFLA Special Interest Group on Big Data and the German National Library (Deutsche Nationalbibliothek) Frankfurt, are pleased to invite you to register for the IFLA WLIC2019 pre-conference satellite meeting on "Data intelligence in libraries: the actual and artificial perspectives". The meeting will be held at the German National Library in Frankfurt on 22 - 23 August 2019.

We look forward to collectively investigate the underlying considerations for administering scholarly, scientific and business data in libraries. We will be doing so from the perspective of both humans and automated agents:

- the library professional's ability to derive information and insight from data

- the machine agent's dependence on curated data to be able to infer and learn from it through a process of knowledge engineering

The program amongst others addresses new library data services, collections analysis, data visualisation, data sharing and linking practices, as well as infrastructural considerations for administering FAIR data  in libraries. Registration cost for all attendees is 60 Euro. Provision is made for 120 attendees and registration will remain open until 16 August 2019.
