Subject: Invitation to Copyright Amendment Bill Panel Discussion

Good day,

The Copyright Amendment Bill is now in its final stages before the National Council of the Provinces. Although the Select Committee has applauded the Department of Trade and Industry on its public participation process and its attempt to keep all stakeholders in mind during this process, there has been an upsurge in efforts to prevent the Bill from being passed through the spreading of false information.

In light of the above ReCreate South Africa will be hosting a panel discussion and Q&A on the impact of the South African Copyright Amendment Bill in Cape Town on the 19th March in order to address much of the false information surrounding the Bill and to highlight the benefits of the the Bill and how it will help propel South Africa's copyright law into the digital age.

We would be honoured if you could attend and share this invitation with others who might be interested so that can provide clarity on the Bill for all.

If you can not make it in person but would still like to attend then you can watch it live on YouTube at the link below.

Below are the details of the event:
§ Date: 19 March 2019
§ Time: 17:00 for 17:30
§ Location: 6 Spin Street Restaurant<https://www.6spinstreet.co.za/>, 6 Spin Street, 8001, Cape Town.
§ Live stream: https://youtu.be/x15qRMx4G-g

Please email recreateza at gmail.com<mailto:recreateza at gmail.com> or nontandotusi at gmail.com<mailto:nontandotusi at gmail.com> to RSVP or if you have any questions.
