Dear Colleague,

As part of the Rural Campuses Connection Project II, we have been hosting a
number of *online conversations
<https://tenet-rccpii.github.io/rccpii-2018/econversations/general/>* to
stimulate discussions around current topics  in higher education in South
Africa.

You are invited to join the conversation about* reaching the intended
audiences with the services you offer*. Very often ICT, Libraries, Research
Offices, Teaching and Learning Centres, and other offer a wide variety of
resources, training opportunities, and services of which university staff
and students simply are unaware. This despite communication and marketing
efforts to create awareness.

Our speakers will try to provide answers that can help bridge this divide
by providing experiences and best practices from their works as
communication specialists working for Regional Research and Education
Networks of  Europe, and Southern and Eastern Africa respectively.

*Speakers:*

   - Dimple Sokartara from GÉANT (the GÉANT network is the largest and most
   advanced R&E network in the world)
   - Hastings Ndebvu from Ubuntunet Alliance (the regional association of
   National Research and Education Networks (NRENs) in Africa)

*Venue, Date, Time:*

   - Online - we'll be using the Vidyo platform (*you are welcome to
   participate from your own desk* if you have sound/video available. It is
   advisable to use earphones/headset.)
   - 1 March 2019
