Dear Ina,
I am the co-manager of the African Union Commission's Comprehensive Survey
of Earth Observation (EO) and allied Technologies Private Sector in Africa.

I am writing to you to take advantage of your mailing list in inviting
potential respondents to participe in the survey.

The message to be posted is the following:

The African Union Heads of State and Government during their Twenty-Sixth
Ordinary Session on 31 January 2016 in Addis Ababa adopted the African
Space Policy
and Strategy
the first of the concrete steps towards realizing an African Outer Space
Programme that was identified as one of the flagship programmes of the AU
Agenda 2063 (Decision Assembly/AU/Dec.589 (XXVI)).

Pursuant to this, the African Union Commission is conducting a Comprehensive
Survey of Earth Observation (EO) and Geospatial & Allied Technologies
Private Sector in Africa. The study aims to facilitate achievement of one
of the key aspirations of the African Space Policy and Strategy i.e.
developing a sustainable and vibrant indigenous space industry that
promotes and responds to Africa’s needs. The study will also generate a
comprehensive continental geo-portal/online business directory of the
continent’s EO and geospatial & allied technologies private sector entities.

LocateIT Ltd, mandated to conduct the survey on behalf of the African Union
Commission, humbly invites you, an EO and geospatial & allied technologies
actor in Africa, to take part in this survey by filling the questionnaire.
The African Union Commission and LocateIT assure you that any sensitive
information you may provide about your organization will be treated with
the highest level of confidentiality. Such information will only be
published in aggregate form.

The survey can be accessed through the links below in both English and
French. Please choose the link that fits your role as an actor in the EO
and space and EO sectors. As well, do not hesitate to share the links with
