Workshop: Open Journal Systems (OJS) 3 (9 – 10 July 2018)

The University of the Free State’s Library and Information Services (LIS) and the Directorate: Research Development would like to invite you to a workshop intended to help people who need to learn how to use the latest version of OJS. Whether you are starting your own journal or upgrading to OJS 3, this workshop will cover the basics in:

-        Setting up a journal in OJS 3

-        Performing the major tasks as an editor, reviewer, copyeditor, layout editor, proofreader and author in OJS 3

-        Criteria for a high quality online and open access journals, including websites and marketing tips
The programme will include optional practical sessions each afternoon.
Presenter: Cornelle Scheltema-Van Wyk (UFS LIS)
Date: 9 - 10 July 2018
Time: Morning sessions will be from 08:30 to 11:30 and the practical afternoon sessions will be open from 13:30 to 16:30.
Venue: University of the Free State, Bloemfontein Campus
