[IRTalk] Hilton Gibson passed away

A very sad news.  We have benefited much from his sharing on open access and DSpace.  His impact will be carried forward and his legacy will live on.

May his soul rest in peace.

Dear IR Community member,



it is with great regret that I have to inform you that our Open Access colleague, Hilton Gibson, passed away this morning after a struggle with pancreatic cancer.



Hilton was know for his irreplaceable contribution to the DSpace and Open Access community in South African and the African continent at large.
