Dear Librarians, Editors, Journal Managers, Researchers, Metadata Editors, Research Officials, and more

During the past week individuals and institutions all over the world have demonstrated many ways of putting “open in action”, during International Open Access Week<http://www.openaccessweek.org/> celebrations worldwide. Support for open access to publicly funded research is growing every day, and it is possible because of the Internet and open source software available, bringing down the operational costs. Through openly sharing quality research output with others, research can have a higher visibility, usage and impact.

We would like to make use of the opportunity to invite all to a series of online (free) webinars, in further sharing ways on how to publish high quality open access scholarly journals. This is an initiative from the Directory of Open Access Journal (DOAJ)<https://doaj.org/> and the Academy of Science of South Africa (ASSAf)<http://www.assaf.org.za/>, and will cover the following:
