The Western Cape government has formally launched the first phase of its
WiFi hotspot initiative today.
​
The government launched the hotspots in conjunction with Neotel, with a
view to having 384 hotspots (a hotspot for every ward) by 2019.
​
The first phase of the project sees 50 hotspots being launched.
