[Irtalk] 80 out of 116 African academic research repositories use DSpace software

When I started at Stellenbosch University library in 2009, there were
approx 23 registered repositories in Africa in total.
Now there are 116 and 80 of them use DSpace.
Perhaps it is time to create a community-of-practice and formalise
co-operation regarding the operation and maintenance of these systems?
*And well done to those who have launched repositories in the last couple
of years!*
