Manager: Digitisation and Digital Services (Ref: E15048), UCT Libraries
UCT Libraries hereby invite applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for this permanent position of Manager: Digitisation and Digital Services.
This is a position that will enable online access to the digital scholarship of the University of Cape Town’s scholarly community. The incumbent is responsible for coordinating, evaluating and optimizing digitization procedures, including capture, presentation, preservation and digital asset management. He/she will lead the strategic development of research-led, scalable and sustainable digital collections through the establishment of production benchmarks and project based objectives. He/she will establish good research data management practices by promoting the use of the services provided by the Digitisation Unit throughout the research data lifecycle.
