*“Despite the fact that the Internet was developed at CERN to facilitate
scientific communication between academics, it has done everything but
that,”* Teytelman said. “Academics still communicate the way they did 150
years ago. You write up the results, send it to a journal, it gets
published and it’s now the truth with no way to correct it. We really
haven’t leveraged Internet technology to improve that communication.”

Until now, that is.
