[Irtalk] Wider Gauteng IR Forum

Dear IR Community
 
we are planning on hosting the Wider Gauteng IR Forum meeting on Friday 7 August 2015. The theme will be "Repositories at a cross-road", focusing on problems (hurdles, frustrations and challenges) with regards to the IR environment, DSpace software and lack of training and skills.
 
The aim of the meeting is to re-establish working relations between IRs in South Africa, exploring the possibilities of broader/non-institutional specific repositories, inter-institutional IR agreements, sharing of software developments and others. Hilton Gibson (University of Stellenbosch) and Shaun Donovan (Teqcle: Information Technologies, current developer for many broader Gauteng repositories) will present an afternoon session (hopefully also with other role-players in the Open Source Software community).
 
Please e-mail me your suggestions for topics to add to the programme that you would like us to pay specific attention to, IR issues that you are really struggling with, that we need to dissect and find solutions for (with regards to the chosen theme) by Monday 15 June 2015.
