Promotes the University's institutional repository and works closely with
the Archives, Special Collections and Digital Initiatives Librarian to
create and implement a sustainable scholarly communications program.
Educates and trains campus partners to collect, describe, and make
accessible the university's intellectual assets. Develops tools, guides,
web resources, and services. Creates metadata for institutional repository
and digital collections. Provides outreach and consultations on depositing
content, publishing options, author rights, copyright, and Open Access.
Participates in faculty governance and engages in scholarly activity.
Participates in assessment and continuous improvement of operations and
services. Helps shape department policy, goals, and procedures. As members
of the University's faculty, librarians are expected to participate in
faculty governance and engage in scholarly activity. Some evening and
week-end hours may be required.
