*In April and May we are holding a series of discussions on evolving and
controversial areas in scholarly communication*, looking at the impact of
technology, the culture of science and how scientists might communicate in
the future.

The topics for discussion are: Peer review, the use of impact metrics in
research assessment, reproducibility, ethics and misconduct, business
models and profiting from publishing, and the mechanisms by which
scientific knowledge is disseminated and assessed.
