Library 2.014, our fourth annual conference, was a huge success and we
hope you had a chance to participate live! But if not, the recordings are
all posted on the conference site, AND we have a special post-conference
“keynote” tonight with Michael Stephens--information superstar and
Assistant Professor at the SJSU School of Information--at 7pm US-Eastern
Time. As a previous conference keynote, Michael’s session this year was
hampered by a connectivity issue, so he’ll be live tonight:

*“Finding Balance: Reflective Practice and the Profession” with Dr. Michael
Stephens*Reflective practice is mindfulness to the nth degree. Information
professionals should be thoughtful about the decisions they make, about the
projects they take on, and about how we put ourselves out there in the
online world. We must always keep working to be there, to be present, to be
at the edge of what’s happening, and to be very visible while focusing on
people, not technology, not the collection. Those are merely tools.

We express our thanks to all who presented, volunteered, and attended this
year! Thank you for sharing your library stories and visions with us.

We want to give special thanks and recognition to conference co-chair, Dr.
Sandra Hirsh of the SJSU School of Information, for helping to orchestrate
this amazing event dedicated to knowledge sharing about the future of
libraries; to Dr. Joyce Valenza of Rutgers University School of
Communication & Information, for organizing the hugely successful Connected
Librarian Day event; and to Debbie Faires of the SJSU School of Information
and our incredible team of volunteers for working so hard to ensure that
conference presenters and attendees had a great experience at Library 2.014.

If you were unable to join us or had to miss some any of the sessions,
please be sure to check out all of the recordings at
http://www.library20.com/page/2014-recordings, and Connected Librarian Day
sessions, plus Library 2.014 keynotes and distinguished speakers on our
YouTube channel at http://www.youtube.com/user/library20conference/. There
is no time limit to watching the recordings. Presenters, please feel free
to share the mp4 recordings on your personal video channels or web pages.
There are also recordings for the previous three years on the site!
