is organizing a training workshop for African systems librarians, knowledge
or information managers and other information specialists. The training
workshop 's goal is to translate theoretical ideas into reality about
Digital Repositories by focusing on planning, implementing, and managing
digital content, this three-day intensive workshop is a great opportunity
to learn about policies and best practices. Participants will also receive
hands-on training in how to set up a digital repository, and they will even
have the opportunity to create a digital repository by the conclusion of
the workshop.

This training workshop will be conducted from 5-7 November in Addis Ababa,
Ethiopia. The registration fee is $300 (USD), which will cover all
training, accommodations, and breakfast and lunch for the three days of the
workshop.

is organizing a digital repository training workshop

When: 5-7 November 2014

Where: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Who Should Attend: African system librarians, information and knowledge
managers, digital repository managers and other information specialists who
would like to learn how to plan, implement, and manage content in a digital
repository.

Outcome: If your institution does not have a digital repository, bring
digital content from your institution to set up your repository right away.
ADLSN will host your digital repository on ADLC, our cloud-based platform,
for one year free of charge. You will leave with your digital repository
online, thereby providing broad global access to your content!

Details: The registration fee is $300 (USD) to cover the training,
accommodations, and breakfast and lunch for the three days of the workshop.
All participants are responsible for their own travel expenses and any visa
charges. ADLSN can help participants with visa logistics.
