Dear Colleagues

For those of you interested in implementing OJS at your universities and library schools - very useful and clear tutorials by Kevin Stranack, one of the original PKP OJS developers.

Kind regards
Ina

Subject: Happy New Year and PKP School

Hi Ina and Reggie,

Happy New Year! I hope you both had an enjoyable holiday with family and friends.

I also wanted to bring you up to date on our free, online PKP School program, which now includes a course for OJS Journal Managers, OJS Editors, and one for general editorial skills:

http://pkpschool.sfu.ca/

We're also putting the finishing touches on a course for scholarly writers. You can preview that one here:

http://pkpschool.sfu.ca/writing-for-publication/

In the next couple of months, watch for a course for reviewers and for librarians working with independent scholarly publishers.

If you have any suggestions for improvements, or additional course ideas, please let me know.

I'm also involved in a grant proposal, together with John Willinsky and others, to work directly with some library schools at universities in Africa to build their scholarly communications curriculum. If you have any contacts or suggestions for possible partnerships, I'd appreciate anything you can share.

Best wishes,
Kevin
