[Irtalk] IT and Servers

Hi Hettie

For reasons of digital preservation and sustainability we have tried to ensure that the IT infrastructure is supported by a team of people at the IT dept and in the Library.
We have also used server virtualization technology to make sure our production server and data are replicated to another secure location.

I would love to have your feedback on the following questions:
 Is your Repository software running on a separate server or are you sharing a server on Campus ?
 Do you or your IT staff have access to the server or only the IT personnel on campus ?

I would appreciate your comments, seeing that we are looking into this matter.
