[Irtalk] SUNScholar for Metadata Editors

Dear all

For those who are considering upgrading to DSpace 1.6.2, and who want to have a look at what it can do/how it works - we have compiled a couple of tutorials for the role of the cataloguer. These include:

 *   Tutorial 4: Restrict access to an item (embargo)<http://library.sun.ac.za/etd/embargo_demo/embargo_demo.htm> - This is the manual way; the Submitter can also enter an embargo date, and the system will release it automatically when it expires
 *   Tutorial 5: Lifting an embargo<http://library.sun.ac.za/etd/embargolift_demo/embargolift_demo.htm> - This is the manual way; the Submitter can also enter an embargo date, and the system will release it automatically when it expires
 *   Tutorial 6: Moving an item between Collections<http://library.sun.ac.za/etd/move_demo/move_demo.htm>
 *   Tutorial 7: Mapping an item<http://library.sun.ac.za/etd/mapping_demo/mapping_demo.htm>
 *   Tutorial 8: Unmap an item<http://library.sun.ac.za/etd/unmap_demo/unmap_demo.htm>
We can highly recommend upgrading. Would love to hear from others who have also upgraded, and what your experiences are!
