<div dir="ltr">Engaging research partners is essential in order to ensure the repository does not remain virtually empty after launch and that the repository is used in the current research workflow.<br><br>Remote research institutions or divisions can deposit items, harvest items or receive alerts for new items on the institutional repository.<br>
<br>Basically third parties can "pull" items from the repository using the OAI-PMH and OAI-ORE services and third parties can "deposit" items using the SWORD service.<br><br>This open interoperability can be achieved with DSpace.
