<div dir="ltr">The ASU Digital Repository is committed to providing long-term access to the digital works it contains, and adheres to digital preservation best practices to ensure items remain stable, accessible, and usable. ASU Libraries will take reasonable steps to ensure the usability of the digital objects placed in the ASU Digital Repository. Digital objects are assigned a persistent identifier to provide consistent access. Secure storage and backup services are provided for all digital content.<div>
<br>Contributors should understand that the level of preservation support provided for items is determined by the file format in which they are submitted. ASU Libraries will provide greater preservation support to items submitted in the recommended formats. Recommended file formats are open, well documented, and widely adopted. ASU Libraries will not guarantee continued usability of file formats that are proprietary or undocumented, those that are considered working formats, or not widely adopted.<div>
