The great physicist Niels Bohr wrote at a dramatic time in world history
that ‘the best weapon of a dictatorship is secrecy, but the best weapon of
a democracy should be the weapon of openness’.

In our century, huge challenges just may be met by extraordinary science,
and the best weapon of that extraordinary science will be openness.
